Directly on the sea front, this luxurious, fully equipped fisherman style cottage is in the conservation area of Seatown, which was the village of the earliest fishermen to this area dating back to the 1700’s. The unique feature of the cottage is the large “picture window” looking directly out to sea, protected from the waves in stormy weather by sliding wooden shutters.
Situated in an area of natural beauty, wonder at the waves from your sofa, with a wood burning stove for cooler evenings (if the underfloor heating is not enough..) or if you are fortunate, possibly a sighting of the Moray Firth dolphins, or a display of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis – one of the greatest natural shows on earth)
Features in the cottage include; full wi-fi; in built sound system; wall mounted smart TV with Netflix; fully fitted kitchen area; dishwasher; nespresso coffee machine; large fully tiled bathroom; underfloor heating; hand built spiral staircase; wood burning stove; quality soaps; quality bedding; king size double bed etc, etc – and of course – that view
Open up the shutters and you have a 2 metre square window, directly on the seafront, looking out over the Moray Firth. This forms the focal point of the house from inside, a “picture” window that lives up to its name. You can try to spot the dolphins from your sofa! When the tide is in the water is directly below you, and when out the shore clears to leave a beach of sand and then sandstone rocks and pools which become home and feeding grounds to all types of seabirds.
The downstairs is open plan with the living, dining and kitchen area all taking advantage of the great location and views. The spacious, tiled, fully fitted bathroom is also located downstairs. The fully fitted kitchen has the expected fridge with small ice box; ceramic hob and oven; nespresso coffee machine; washer/dryer, dish washer etc.
Climb up the unique hand made steel and American oak spiral staircase and you have the two bedrooms upstairs. The bedroom with two single beds to the right and the main bedroom with king size bed to your left.
The main bedroom also features a window on the gable looking directly out to sea. Both bedrooms and the hall are bright and airy with velux windows in each. The house is fully central heated with radiators upstairs and underfloor heating on the ground floor.
Cosy down for the evening and Seafront Cottage has a wood burning stove, underfloor heating, a wall mounted flat screen television: fibre Optic Wi-Fi: a built in docking station for your iPod or iPhone and integrated roof speakers.
