Gannet Cottage (Sleeps 4)

This superb holiday cottage in the conservation Seatown area of Gardenstown, was originally a fisherman’s cottage, built in the 19th century, and is directly on the Moray Firth seafront, where if you are fortunate, you can see the local school of dolphins.

Lie in bed listening to the sound of the waves lapping on the sea wall, directly below you.

We have recently modernised the inside of the property while still retaining the traditional features of generations past. Our lounge now features three windows with views of the Moray Firth which is approx. 3 metres from the gable of the house at high tide. Gannet Cottage also features a large eating kitchen; bathroom with bath and shower over; and upstairs, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom.

When the tide is in the water is directly below you, and when the tide is out the shore clears to leave a beach of sand and then sandstone rocks and pools which become home and feeding grounds to all types of seabirds.  We provide a viewing scope on a tripod within the cottage so you get a closer view.

Cosy down for the evening and Gannet Cottage has a wood burning stove, fibre optic wi-fi, a large wall mounted flat screen television with Freeview,  and a “Bose” sound deck to allow you to bluetooth your favourite music.

Gannet Cottage has just been fully upgraded this summer and the downstair has a small sitting lounge with stunning sea views from three windows; a spacious eating kitchen and a modern bathroom.

Upstairs there is a double and a twin bedroom. We supply towels for indoor use and all bedding is Egyptian cotton.

Ideal for a romantic break…

Get away from it all and stay in Seafront or Gannet Cottage
