Gardenstown is a small fishing village, founded in 1720. The harbour is no longer used by commercial boats, but has more pleasure craft with some inshore fishing. The village has grown up the cliff face over the years. Truly you are stepping back in time when you take a stroll along the Seatown with only a narrow road separating the fishing cottages from the sea.
Get away from it all and stay in Seafront or Gannet Cottage
Seafront Cottage was designed by a local architect to fit in with the traditional surrounding area. However, stepping inside this small cottage, which has two bedrooms, will give you 21st century luxurious comfort with the main open plan living area having a stunning outlook across the Moray Firth to More Head with the sea only a few feet from the window.
This superb holiday cottage located in the conservation Seatown area of Gardenstown, was originally a fisherman's cottage, built in the 19th century, and is directly on the Moray Firth seafront, where if you are fortunate, you can see the local school of dolphins. Lie in bed listening to the sound of the waves lapping on the sea wall, directly below you.
